Laugher and T-Ball

We are so lucky to be surrounded by such great family. Nathan had his first T-ball game on Monday and I think he had the biggest cheering section there. He was so proud that so many people came to watch him play.
So, T-Ball. If you ever need a good laugh- sit at a T-ball field for an hour. Your bound to be amused. From the kids that stand at the pitcher's mound and try to make a play at every base to the kid in center field that catches the ball and runs it all the way to home plate. Yes, that last example was my kid! The coach said it was the last play and whoever gets the ball get it back to home. So, Nate figured it was easier to run it than throw it so he ran all the way to home plate with the ball and almost got him out. We figured it could have easily been a double or triple play. Maybe he was on to something :)
It was so much fun to watch these little budding athletes as they try to make plays they have seen in the big leagues. You can tell that some have been watching the sport for a while. They have the baseball stance or try to slide into homeplate. Others (again this is my son)...are still not quite sure if they are a lefty or righty. But once they get in position...watch out! Either way- they are learning so much and having so much fun. I am loving this time we are at now with the kids and how involved they get to be in sports and school and church activities. It is so exciting to watch them grow and learn.
At dinner each evening we play high/low. We go around the table and tell a high and low of the day. After the game, Nate said his high was that he had his first baseball game and Daddy helped him while he was playing. My heart almost burst- that was such a perfect high for the day. How lucky am I to have such a great family??
I can't wait to go out to the next game- It is a sure way to keep a smile on my face and my heart full.
